About the position
The OTR Class A CDL Driver position at First Class Carriers, Inc. offers a competitive pay structure ranging from $0.58 to $0.75 per mile, depending on experience. This role involves long-haul driving, where drivers will typically be on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time. The company emphasizes a no-touch freight policy, meaning drivers are not responsible for loading or unloading cargo. All drivers are assigned their own equipment, ensuring a consistent and comfortable driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes safely and efficiently over long distances.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and report any issues promptly.
- Ensure the truck is in good working condition and perform routine checks before and after trips.
- Complete necessary paperwork and logs as required by the company and DOT regulations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Possess a valid Class A CDL license.
- No more than 2 moving violations on MVR in the last 3 years.
- No more than 2 speeding violations in the last 3 years, with no speeding violations over 15 mph.
- No rear-end accidents in the last 3 years.
- No careless driving tickets in the last 3 years.
- No reckless driving charges in the last 7 years.
- No DUI's in the last 7 years, with no more than 1 DUI lifetime.
- No misdemeanors in the last 3 years.
- No felonies in the last 7 years.
