About the position

The OTR Driver position at A&D Custom Trucking LLC involves transporting agricultural products across various locations. The role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods critical to the agricultural industry. The driver will be responsible for operating a commercial truck, maintaining safety standards, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial truck (Class A CDL) to transport agricultural products.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring secure and accurate delivery.
• Inspect and maintain the truck, including routine checks on tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
• Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and hours worked.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage during transport.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a truck driver (agriculture-related experience preferred but not required).
• Ability to handle long hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
• Familiarity with agricultural products and equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Physical ability to handle loading and unloading of materials when needed.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
