About the position

The Outbound Associate II position at Protective Industrial Products involves playing a crucial role in the efficient operation of outbound processes within the distribution center. The role focuses on accurately picking products according to order requirements, utilizing equipment such as electric pallet jacks and RF scan guns, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric pallet jack to move products throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Pick an average of 13 lines per hour, minimizing downtime between picks to a maximum of 5 minutes.
• Use an RF scan gun to accurately pick products according to order sheets.
• Ensure order accuracy by verifying product numbers and quantities.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures when operating equipment and handling products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient picking and storage.
• Participate in inventory counts and assist in managing warehouse inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any issues encountered.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting, especially in picking or material handling, preferred.
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and RF scan gun with proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
