About the position

As an Outbound Associate II at Protective Industrial Products, you will be an integral part of our distribution center team, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our outbound processes. This full-time position is based in Olive Branch, MS, and requires you to work the first shift. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize an electric pallet jack to navigate the warehouse and accurately pick products according to order requirements. You will also be equipped with an RF scan gun to manage inventory and ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately. This role demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols, as you will be handling various products and operating equipment in a busy warehouse environment. In this position, you will be expected to pick an average of 13 lines per hour while minimizing downtime between picks to a maximum of 5 minutes. It is crucial to verify product numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, which is essential for facilitating efficient picking and storage. Participation in inventory counts and assisting in managing warehouse inventory accuracy will also be part of your duties. Effective communication with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any issues encountered is vital to the success of the operation. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting, especially in picking or material handling, preferred.
  • Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and RF scan gun with proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
