About the position

As an Outbound Sales Development Representative at Brex, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's revenue by prospecting and identifying new customers. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with Account Executives to help businesses understand the value of Brex's financial services solutions, which include integrated corporate cards, banking, and global payments. You will be part of a rapidly growing team that values a proactive approach and a high sense of urgency, essential for navigating the fast-paced environment of sales. Your efforts will directly contribute to building pipelines for significant deals, potentially worth $1 million or more, and you will have the opportunity to help shape processes that enhance the sales function. In this role, you will be expected to identify and engage with growing companies that can benefit from Brex's offerings. This involves educating potential clients about the modern corporate card and spend management software, understanding their business needs, and positioning Brex as a compelling solution. You will maintain an accurate log of your activities in the CRM system and strive to meet daily key performance indicators (KPIs) across various communication channels, including email, phone, and social media. Your ability to follow up with leads and confirm appointments will be critical to your success. Additionally, you will provide valuable feedback to your colleagues regarding insights gained from prospects, which can inform advertising, marketing strategies, and overall program improvements. Responsibilities

  • Identify growing companies that would gain value from Brex
  • Prospect companies that are growing and spending; educate them on our modern corporate card and spend management software
  • Navigate through a conversation flow to uncover business needs, understand pains, and position Brex as a compelling solution
  • Maintain and update an accurate log of activity in the CRM system
  • Hit daily KPIs across a variety of touch points: email, phone, social
  • Use email to correspond with leads to follow up and/or to confirm appointments
  • Provide feedback to others in department related to information prospects share that could be helpful in advertising/marketing as well as our overall programs

Requirements

  • Located within the greater Salt Lake City, UT area
  • Experience in a general sales role OR a related field in hospitality, customer service, etc.
  • The ability to proactively engage new clients through email and phone
  • A high sense of urgency coupled with an ability to adapt and pivot in every conversation
  • Strong communication skills to passionately and clearly articulate the value of Brex
  • Work with Marketing Operations to define, execute, and optimize prospecting approaches through A/B tests
  • A team-player attitude with a desire to improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks
  • A desire to learn, grow, and launch your career at a cutting-edge financial technology company
  • Must be willing to work in office 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday

Nice-to-haves

  • SaaS or B2B experience

  • Competitive salary with OTE range of $73,040 - $77,605 USD
