About the position

Workato is seeking an Outbound Sales Development Representative to join our expanding sales team. This role is pivotal in uncovering and developing new opportunities through outbound activities, and building a robust pipeline of sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for managing a diverse territory remotely, demonstrating a successful track record in sales, and embracing a start-up environment where personal performance is critical. You will have the flexibility and determination to engage in various activities to ensure success in your role. In this position, you will focus on generating sales opportunities through email and telephone outreach, collaborating closely with our Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams. Your responsibilities will include setting up meetings for the Sales Team, assisting in building the company pipeline, and working with the Marketing Team on campaigns and go-to-market efforts. You will also consult with existing customers to understand their current use of Workato and their future business goals. Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the specified schedule is essential, as is the ability to continuously improve through feedback. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, expertise, and creativity to our company, contributing to the overall success of our sales initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Uncover and develop new sales opportunities from outbound activities.
  • Build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities to meet sales targets.
  • Set up meetings for the Sales Team and assist in building the company pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team on campaigns and go-to-market efforts.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to refine strategy for targeted territories/segments.
  • Consult with existing customers to understand their current use of Workato and their future business goals.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Reach out to prospects through cold calling and email.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.

Requirements

  • 6 months of Sales Development experience preferred; fresh graduates may apply.
  • High energy and positive attitude with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed, and resourceful.
  • Discipline to manage the sales cycle process from initial contact to qualification.
  • Strong customer orientation and dedication to delivering a great customer experience.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and adaptability to a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and analyze customer requirements.
  • Some technical aptitude and ability to become fluent in integration and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of business applications used in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Apps, Outreach, Zoominfo, Slack, and SFDC.
