About the position

The Outlet Sales Associate at Talbots is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and promoting the brand's products. The position involves engaging with customers, assisting in store operations, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. Associates are expected to demonstrate a passion for fashion, build relationships with customers, and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Service multiple customers simultaneously and handle projects concurrently.
• Stay informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, and style.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest complementary items.
• Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities and accepting coaching and feedback.
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete operational assignments such as filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.

Requirements

• Demonstrate selling competence and styling expertise.
• Possess strong ambition and passion for achieving goals as an individual and team member.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
• Technological competency to navigate a computer/iPad/handheld system.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
• Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for product, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Open availability to work up to 29 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
