Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Answer customer questions about merchandise and advise on selections.
• Process sales transactions accurately at the checkout counter using a cash register.
• Make correct change for customers during transactions.
• Take inventory and identify items that need to be restocked or ordered.
• Stock and restock shelves, racks, cases, and tables with merchandise.
• Sort merchandise received from depots and prepare it for sale in the store.
• Clean display cases, shelves, floors, and aisles to maintain store appearance.
• Perform routine bookkeeping tasks to record daily transactions accurately.
• Ensure safety of store operations by opening and securing the store as directed.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work assigned shifts.
• Positive work ethic, safety-oriented, and reliable.
• Ability to maneuver large bulky racks and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Experience in bookkeeping, inventory, and ordering tasks.
• Minimum of three (3) months recent cash handling experience.
• Willingness to join the union upon hire.
