About the position

The Sales Associate role at Tapestry Inc. is a vital component of the store's overall success and efficiency. This position demands direct attention to the brand's commitment to customer service and driving sales results. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for upholding Coach's Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, and building ongoing customer relationships through personalized experiences. Your role will involve understanding organizational objectives and making decisions that align with company priorities, taking ownership of personal and store metrics, and creating strategies to achieve personal sales goals. You will represent Coach as a brand ambassador, demonstrating the brand's selling and service expectations at all times. In addition to sales responsibilities, you will need to understand changes in the local market that may impact business performance and support the execution of local sales strategies. You will drive business through clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining productive relationships with existing customers. Your ability to communicate fashion awareness and knowledge of competition will help you build credibility and trust as a personal fashion advisor. You will also be responsible for providing in-depth product knowledge, discussing product features, and leveraging cross-selling skills to enhance the customer shopping experience. On the operational side, you will ensure that all daily tasks are completed without negatively impacting service or Coach standards. This includes maintaining the sales floor and backroom, adhering to retail policies and procedures, and supporting the store inventory process. You will also assist with cash-wrap duties when needed and ensure that the store is organized and visually appealing. The role requires a commitment to teamwork, adaptability to changing business needs, and a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold Coach's Service and Selling Models to drive sales results.
  • Create a positive first impression and build ongoing customer relationships.

  • Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrate selling and service expectations.
  • Understand local market changes and support local sales strategies.
  • Drive business through clienteling and sourcing new customers.
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge and communicate current pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Cross-sell and encourage beneficial product add-ons based on customer needs.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy selling floor and adhere to retail policies and procedures.
  • Support the store inventory process and assist with cash-wrap duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Mobile POS.
  • Ability to execute at a fast pace and communicate effectively with customers and team.
  • Ability to maneuver the sales floor and stock room, including climbing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
