About the position

The Sales Support Associate role at Tapestry Inc. is a vital component of the store's overall success and efficiency. The Sales Support Associate will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers, ensuring that their interactions are friendly and efficient, particularly at the cash wrap area. This role involves maintaining a well-organized sales floor and accurately processing transactions to support the flow of products from receipt to point of sale. The associate will greet customers with a smile, engage in genuine interactions, and accurately operate the point of sale (POS) system while maintaining cash wrap organization and cleanliness. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities in the stockroom, such as receiving shipments, processing transfers, and maintaining stock levels. The Sales Support Associate will also analyze the sales floor to assess replenishment needs and execute visual merchandising as required. This position demands a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to upholding the Coach brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers with a smile and maintain eye contact, offering your name.
  • Interact genuinely and naturally with customers, reading cues to determine their needs.
  • Conduct email/name capture where permitted by law.
  • Maintain accuracy when operating the POS system and ensure cash wrap organization and cleanliness.
  • Suggest multiple add-ons and sell gift cards to enhance customer experience.
  • Receive shipments and transfers, notifying Store Management of new product arrivals.
  • Scan cartons/transfers and verify store information is correct, communicating discrepancies to Store Management.
  • Organize and clean the stockroom daily, including offsite/remote warehouse as applicable.
  • Regularly analyze the sales floor to assess replenishment needs and react to sell-through.
  • Support sales floor activities and effectively communicate product information to customers.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Mobile POS.
  • Ability to execute tasks at a fast pace and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Physical ability to maneuver the sales floor and stock room, including climbing, bending, and kneeling.

  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
