About the position

The Outpatient Clinician at Farnum is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling and supportive services to clients in the outpatient addiction treatment program. This role involves individual and group therapy, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention, all aimed at facilitating lasting recovery for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates clinical group therapy and provides individual counseling services to clients.
  • Provides documentation of all clinical services delivered according to state and agency regulations.
  • Participates regularly in treatment team meetings, group supervision, and program evaluation.
  • Completes biopsychosocial assessments, progress notes, mental status exams, treatment planning, and discharge summaries with clients in the outpatient setting.
  • Assures the services provided and documentation complies with applicable Federal and State regulations as well as agency policies and procedures.
  • Provides crisis intervention and de-escalation interventions to clients when needed.
  • Collaborates with agency colleagues and outside community resources to provide efficient client care coordination.
  • Maintains ethical boundaries and conducts themselves professionally in all interactions with staff and clients.
  • Promptly responds to requests for clinical information from other care providers and state agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a behavioral health or related field with valid NH licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and eight (8) years' experience working in a substance use disorder treatment setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health or related field with valid NH licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and four (4) years' experience working in a substance use disorder treatment setting.
  • Master's degree in a behavioral health or related field with two (2) years' experience working in substance use disorder treatment setting; valid NH licensure as a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred.
  • Proficiency in ASAM criteria and 12 core functions with knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment and evidence-based practice.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
