The Outpatient Coding Specialist for ED Profee/Facility Fee at Elevate Medical is responsible for reviewing and coding medical records for emergency room services at a critical access hospital. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality coding standards and effective communication with inpatient coders and managers. Responsibilities

• Review Emergency Room Facility and Profee medical records and properly code the charts
• Meet or exceed high quality and productivity standards to provide exceptional coding services to clients
• Communicate and collaborate with inpatient coders and managers to address the dynamic needs of clients
• Keep active coding certifications and complete continuing education to maintain expertise

Requirements

• Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT through AHIMA or CPC through AAPC coding credentials are required
• 3 or more years of ED facility and profee coding experience
• Access to high speed internet and workstation
