About the position
The Outpatient Dietitian PRN position at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is a part-time role focused on ensuring effective workflow within the Food and Nutrition Services and HealthFit departments. The dietitian will serve as a vital nutrition resource for both the community and physicians, playing a crucial role in evaluating, assessing, planning, and charting patients' nutritional care in their medical records. This position requires compliance with all nutrition standards of practice and a commitment to pursuing optimal standards of quality care and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the dietitian will be responsible for maintaining Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols to ensure food safety and quality in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective workflow within Food and Nutrition Services and HealthFit.
- Act as a nutrition resource for community and physicians.
- Evaluate, assess, plan, and chart in patient's medical record regarding nutritional care.
- Implement patient's nutritional care plans.
- Comply with all nutrition standards of practice.
- Pursue optimal standards of quality care and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of dietetics experience required.
- Licensed Dietitian within 6 months of employment at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, or within 6 months after RD status obtained.
- Active membership in professional dietetic associations at a local and national level required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics or related field required.
