About the position

The OP Recertification Benefits Coordinator at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network (NRHN) is responsible for coordinating the re-certification process of outpatient benefits. This role emphasizes patient-family centered care and aims to ensure a supportive and empathetic experience for patients during the re-certification process while safeguarding the hospital's medical, financial, and legal interests.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the re-certification process of outpatient benefits.
  • Secure and document referral and financial information.
  • Respond to requests from patient accounts, insurance companies, referring physicians, and other hospital departments.
  • Ensure that all potential and existing patients are treated with care and empathy during the re-certification process.
  • Provide support and coverage for the initial insurance verification process as directed.
