About the position

ColumbiaCare Services is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to join our team in Medford, Oregon. This position is crucial in providing clinical services to individuals experiencing mental health crises. The Outpatient Therapist will report directly to the Outpatient Clinical Manager, who will oversee day-to-day supervision and work assignments. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Provisional Assessments for clients in crisis, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support. Additionally, you will provide clinical oversight and consultation to facility staff, acting as a liaison with other community providers to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. As part of your responsibilities, you will receive training in crisis de-escalation, which includes performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. This training is essential for effectively managing crisis situations and ensuring the safety of both clients and staff. After successfully completing a 90-day introductory period, you will have the opportunity to participate in our supervision toward licensure program, which supports your professional development and licensure goals. The Outpatient Program at ColumbiaCare Services offers a range of services, including assessment and evaluation, treatment plan development, outpatient therapy, case management, skills training, and psychiatric services. Our team operates both on-site and remotely, utilizing telemedicine to provide accessible care to our clients. Responsibilities

  • Conduct Provisional Assessments for individuals experiencing crisis.
  • Provide clinical oversight and consultation to facility staff.
  • Liaise with other community providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in crisis de-escalation training and apply techniques as needed.
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide outpatient therapy and case management services.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) registration.
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting is preferred.
  • Unlicensed Therapists must be actively seeking or willing to obtain licensure.
  • Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
