About the position

The Outreach and Employer Relations Program Manager at Alaska Primary Care Association (APCA) is responsible for leading workforce development initiatives aimed at enhancing recruitment and job placement strategies to meet the healthcare employment needs of Alaska's diverse populations. This role involves overseeing the employment services team, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of programs aligned with APCA's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide servant leadership to the employment services team.
  • Oversee day-to-day duties of direct reports and delegate work appropriately.
  • Monitor team performance against objectives and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team through training and coaching.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to develop strategies for healthcare employment needs.
  • Represent APCA with cultural humility and inclusivity when partnering with diverse populations.
  • Lead the design and execution of recruitment and placement strategies.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure program initiatives are well supported and executed within budgetary constraints.
  • Implement tracking, follow up, and evaluation of employment team activities.
  • Support the preparation of agency, department, and grant reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in workforce development or related fields, preferably within healthcare.
  • 2 years of management experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Valid Alaska driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in community health centers or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in designing and managing healthcare workforce programs.
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
  • Mileage reimbursement for in-city and in-state travel.
