About the position

This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region IX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Outreach and Marketing Specialist works with assigned groups, organizations and partners whose constituents and/or members may benefit from the use of Small Business Administration (SBA) programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Marketing SBA programs and services through outreach, training, and education to various organizations and small businesses.
• Conducting outreach, training, education, development, lender recruitment, and consultation with all lenders in the District.
• Building and maintaining collaborative alliances and partnerships with resource partners, economic development organizations and small business owners.
• Assisting in reviewing efficient deployment of tax dollars to SBA program grantees, and the effective and compliant use of funds by grantees.
• Assisting in monitoring co-sponsorships.
• Furthering the SBA mission.

Requirements

• You must be a U.S. Citizen.
• You must successfully complete a background investigation.
• You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service) in marketing strategies, delivering outreach and training, and managing partnerships.

Nice-to-haves

• Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M if related.
