About the position

At Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, the Outreach Coordinator (Bilingual) plays a crucial role in managing and directing Host Site Coordinators and their teams to ensure that financial and administrative procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This position is essential for the development and maintenance of strong and productive SHARE sites within the service region. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for providing SNAP assistance and will engage in various administrative tasks to support the outreach efforts of the organization. The Outreach Coordinator will respond promptly to customers and host sites, providing them with necessary information, assistance, training, and presentations related to SNAP/EBT. This role involves facilitating coalition-building between Host Sites and community organizations, conducting presentations for prospective Host Site organizations, corporate and public sponsors, and volunteer groups. The Coordinator will also develop, coordinate, and lead workshops and training sessions for Host Sites to ensure sustained participation in the SHARE program. In addition to these responsibilities, the Outreach Coordinator will represent Catholic Charities at various interfaith, social service, cultural, and government meetings and events to promote the SHARE program. The position requires the development of outreach and marketing materials and strategies to enhance SHARE's visibility and promote its activities to both private and public entities. The Coordinator will manage and train Host Site Coordinators, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to maintain and increase community participation while adhering to SHARE's standards and philosophy. The role also includes providing customer service to current and prospective SHARE customers, assisting with program referrals, application, or enrollment assistance, and maintaining accurate financial and order records. The Outreach Coordinator will participate in staff development workshops and meetings, ensuring that they stay updated on best practices and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct Host Site Coordinators and their teams to ensure proper financial and administrative procedures are completed accurately and timely.
  • Respond promptly to customers and host sites and provide SNAP/EBT information, assistance, training, and presentations.
  • Facilitate coalition-building between Host Sites and community organizations.
  • Conduct presentations for prospective Host Site organizations, corporate and public sponsors, and volunteer groups.
  • Develop, coordinate, and lead Host Site workshops and training to support sustained SHARE participation.
  • Represent Catholic Charities at interfaith, social service, cultural, and government meetings and events to promote the SHARE program.
  • Develop outreach and marketing materials and strategies to expand SHARE's name recognition and promote program activities and offerings to private and public entities.
  • Manage, direct, and train Host Site Coordinators to ensure that Host Sites have the necessary support and resources to maintain and increase community participation and operate within SHARE's standards and philosophy.
  • Ensure that host sites have support and bilingual resources as needed.
  • Facilitate meetings between host sites and Outreach Coordinators.
  • Schedule follow-up with host sites and track data on follow-up needs.
  • Provide customer service to current and prospective SHARE customers, including program referrals and application or enrollment assistance.
  • Provide regular reports on outreach strategies and results, including those related to and/or required by specific funding sources.
  • Participate in workshops and meetings for staff development.
  • Assist with accurate and timely data entry and processing of customer orders and payments in accordance with Agency policies.
  • Provide customer service in person and on the phone.
  • Process payments according to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Record order information promptly on electronic and paper platforms.
  • Keep accurate financial and order records.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of work experience in a human services field.
  • 1 year of outreach work experience in outreach.
  • 2 years of combined experience in communications and/or marketing.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
