About the position

The Outreach Coordinator at the Human Performance and Nutrition Research Institute (HPNRI) is responsible for advancing community health and wellness by translating scientific information into engaging educational content. This role involves developing and disseminating health education materials, leveraging digital platforms, and fostering partnerships to enhance community engagement and health literacy. The position requires collaboration with researchers and specialists to create educational initiatives that align with HPNRI's goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and disseminate health education materials.
• Leverage digital platforms for outreach and education.
• Act as a knowledge broker to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders.
• Create engaging educational content based on scientific research.
• Manage social media campaigns to promote health initiatives.
• Collaborate with researchers and Project ECHO team members to develop best practices and educational tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science, Communications, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in education, health promotion, community outreach, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of preventive health, wellness, and lifestyle change principles.
• Proven experience in creating digital health content and managing social media campaigns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to act as a knowledge broker, facilitating collaboration and information exchange among diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for education and outreach.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred.
