About the position

The Outreach Specialist will work both independently and collaboratively to assess eligibility for services within a 7-county area. This role involves building and maintaining community relationships, ensuring customer needs are met, and participating in outreach events. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable interacting with various stakeholders, including clients and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility for services
• Perform data entry
• Schedule and participate in outreach events
• Provide customer service
• Conduct motivational interviewing for crisis services
• Mentor and coach clients
• Coordinate community resources
• Engage in community development
• Create partnerships
• Assist with food packing and distribution through TEFAP/Commodities Programs
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• 2 years of experience in Human Services
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess circumstances and determine eligibility for services
• Detail-oriented and self-disciplined
