About the position

The Outside Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing Private Label sales across approximately 150 medium to large-sized accounts in a designated geographic area. This role involves developing strong relationships with key stakeholders within each account, conducting business reviews, and implementing marketing strategies to drive sales. The position requires proactive engagement with various departments within the accounts to create tailored solutions and ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow Private Label sales within assigned accounts through spot buy opportunities and program placement.
  • Develop relationships with owners and senior managers within each account.
  • Conduct semi-annual business reviews with key accounts.
  • Negotiate incentive programs to enhance sales.
  • Maintain a call plan for all accounts in collaboration with the RVP of Sales.
  • Understand customer go-to-market strategies and conduct one-on-one meetings with sales representatives to identify opportunities.
  • Engage in end-user meetings to foster relationships and uncover needs.
  • Develop a marketing plan to drive Private Label sales using marketing collateral such as flyers and promotions.
  • Responsible for new product launch presentations and sales plans.
  • Utilize internal resources to uncover and close sales opportunities.
  • Manage administrative tasks including weekly reporting, calendar management, and CRM reporting.
  • Maintain the company's presence within accounts, including showroom management and collateral upkeep.

Requirements

  • Strong sales skills, particularly in SPIN selling.
  • In-depth product knowledge and merchandising skills.
  • Effective presentation and training abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
