About the position

The Outside Account Manager at State Industrial Products is responsible for managing and expanding a designated territory through proactive B2B prospecting and relationship-building with current accounts. This role focuses on achieving sales goals, enhancing brand awareness, and providing innovative solutions to customers in various sectors, including commercial, educational, and healthcare facilities. The position offers a blend of sales and service responsibilities, ensuring a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales goals through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and upselling.
  • Creating brand awareness and building relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrating the capabilities of our products to potential clients.
  • Implementing and selling innovative customer programs to create unique value.
  • Managing a given territory and interacting directly with current and potential customers.
  • Providing service to commercial businesses, federal, state and local buildings, educational facilities, and healthcare/industrial buildings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally using a personal vehicle.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal team members.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and resilient attitude.
