About the position

The Outside Commercial Sales Representative at D.H. Pace Company, Inc. is responsible for building relationships and selling commercial doors and door products. This role focuses on business development, requiring strong communication skills to influence purchasing decisions and meet sales performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with decision makers to influence the purchase of commercial doors and related products.
  • Communicate with customers to develop sales opportunities and solve problems through consultative sales.
  • Cultivate sales within commercial and industrial buildings, hospitals, colleges, K-12, and municipalities in Omaha and surrounding areas.
  • Meet or exceed sales and gross profit performance standards.
  • Provide timely, accurate estimates and proposals to customers.
  • Assess customers' needs and sell technical and mechanical goods and services.
  • Develop scope of work for each proposal and manage details from initial call to closing the sale.
  • Follow up quickly to close customer projects and participate in project management when necessary.
  • Maintain and update Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, highly preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years outside sales experience.
  • Ability for technical applications and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Blue Prints/Plans and Specs highly desired.
  • Outgoing personality with a natural affinity for customer care.
  • Valid Driver's License.
