About the position

The Outside Connectivity Sales Manager at Frontier is responsible for leading a geographically dispersed outside sales team, focusing on field supervision, development, and execution of sales strategies. This role emphasizes motivating team members, managing performance, and ensuring sales success through effective leadership and support. The position requires a strong understanding of direct sales practices, particularly in telecommunications, and involves a mix of fieldwork and office responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain budgeted headcount while surpassing sales targets.
  • Engage in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of outside sales agents.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance.
  • Maintain familiarity with reporting and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to attain goals and objectives.
  • Allocate work, with approximately 60% fieldwork and 40% office work.
  • Provide coaching and ensure adherence to Frontier's Consumer Sales Methodology.
  • Communicate territory and leads assignments to sales specialists regularly.
  • Address employee relation issues, conduct performance appraisals, and provide coaching and training as needed.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing, or 3+ years equivalent work experience in sales.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and drive a sales team to success.
  • Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to accommodate non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Capability to travel to assigned territories using a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended durations in various weather conditions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales / Door-to-Door sales practices.
  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience in sales.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
