About the position

The Outside Connectivity Sales Manager at Frontier Communications is responsible for leading and developing a geographically dispersed outside sales team within the Consumer Direct Sales organization. This role focuses on field supervision, enabling sales success, and motivating team members to achieve performance-based targets. The position requires a strong leader who can manage both fieldwork and office responsibilities while fostering collaboration and accountability among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain budgeted headcount while surpassing sales targets.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train front-line outside sales agents.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance.
  • Utilize reporting and analytics to drive business decisions.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to attain goals.
  • Allocate work with approximately 60% fieldwork and 40% office work.
  • Provide coaching and ensure adherence to Frontier's Consumer Sales Methodology.
  • Communicate territory and leads assignments to sales specialists regularly.
  • Address employee relation issues and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with sales activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to motivate, lead, and drive a sales team to success.
  • Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to accommodate non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Capability to travel to assigned territories and company facilities.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended durations in various weather conditions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing, or 3+ years equivalent work experience in sales.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales / Door-to-Door sales practices.
  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience in sales.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $61,000 - $155,000
