About the position

As the Outside Connectivity Sales Manager at Frontier, you will be a pivotal figure in the Consumer Direct Sales organization, responsible for the field supervision, development, and execution of a geographically dispersed outside sales team. Your role will involve overseeing sales activities and enabling sales success for each team member. You will lead from the front, acting as a force multiplier by removing obstacles, motivating your team, managing performance, and providing individual support. This in-person position requires you to report to our Norwalk, OH location, with the sales territory primarily covering Norwalk, OH, although work locations may change based on business needs. In this dynamic role, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the budgeted headcount while surpassing sales targets. Your responsibilities will include engaging in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of front-line outside sales agents. You will establish clear expectations for your team and ensure accountability when those expectations are not met, maintaining a consistent and fair approach. Familiarity with reporting and analytics will be essential to drive and support business decisions, and you will foster collaboration with other departments to attain goals and objectives. Your work will be divided approximately 60% in the field and 40% in the office, where you will provide coaching and drive adherence to Frontier's Consumer Sales Methodology. Regular communication of territory and lead assignments to Residential Connectivity Sales Specialists will be part of your routine, along with addressing employee relation issues, conducting performance appraisals, and providing necessary training. You will also complete administrative tasks associated with sales activities and ensure your team does the same. A comprehensive understanding of Frontier's product offerings and the competitive landscape will be crucial, as will cultivating positive relationships with customers, business partners, and colleagues. You will also fulfill any other duties as requested by leadership.

Requirements

  • Ability to motivate, lead, and drive a sales team to success
  • Proficiency in the English language, encompassing reading, writing, and speaking
  • Exceptional interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Strong organizational aptitude
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new technology stack tools with ease
  • Ability to accommodate non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Capability to travel to assigned territories and company facilities
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended durations in various weather conditions
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Proficiency in completing documentation with precision
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing, or 3+ years equivalent work experience in sales

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales / Door-to-Door sales practices
  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience (preferably in sales)
