About the position

The Outside Food Sales Representative at Gordon Food Service is responsible for cultivating relationships, developing new business, and providing innovative solutions to customers in the food service industry. This role focuses on managing sales efforts for existing and prospective customers within a designated territory, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants.
• Identify and research prospective customers.
• Develop and present sales strategies to prospective customers.
• Visit customers on a regular basis to strengthen relationships.
• Conduct business reviews to assess customer needs and growth opportunities.
• Provide ongoing training to customers on product offerings.
• Identify value-added opportunities for existing customers.
• Balance new customer acquisition with relationship management.
• Coordinate visits to customers and communicate order status.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
• Experience in sales or customer service is preferred.
