About The Position

The Outside Food Sales Representative at Gordon Food Service is responsible for cultivating relationships, developing new business, and providing innovative solutions to customers in the food service industry. This role focuses on managing sales efforts for existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants.
• Identify and research prospective customers.
• Develop and present sales strategies to prospective customers.
• Visit customers within the assigned territory on a regular basis.
• Conduct business reviews to assess customer needs and growth opportunities.
• Provide ongoing training to customers on product offerings.
• Communicate order status and processing updates to customers.
• Balance new customer acquisition with strengthening existing relationships.
