About the position

The Outside Industrial Sales Representative (In-Plant Specialist) at Arbon Equipment - A Rite-Hite Company is responsible for selling capital equipment lines, including machine guarding equipment and industrial fans, primarily to Fortune 500 manufacturers and distribution centers. This role involves managing existing accounts, prospecting new customers, and introducing innovative products and services in the Northern California marketplace. The position requires a strong focus on building relationships and developing business plans within a protected territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sell capital equipment lines including machine guarding equipment, industrial fans, modular wall and curtain systems, mezzanines, lift tables, and in-plant offices.
  • Grow existing accounts and secure new customers in the Northern California marketplace.
  • Introduce new products and services to customers.
  • Develop solid territory business plans and effectively cover the territory on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' successful outside sales experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build productive business relationships.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the territory and its customer base.
