The Outside Lumber Sales Representative position is a dynamic role focused on generating and securing sales of building materials with both new and existing customers. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a performance-driven environment, offering uncapped earning potential based on sales performance. The representative will be responsible for promoting the company's products, facilitating customer product selection, and servicing existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this role, the representative will prepare and communicate price quotations, sale terms, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers and contractors. They will also estimate materials based on blueprints provided by clients, resolve any customer complaints or issues, and assist in the collection of accounts receivable. Participation in training sessions is required to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques. The role may also involve other assigned duties as necessary to support the sales team and company objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of lumber and be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. A flexible schedule is necessary, as the role may require weekend work. The representative will need to interpret various forms of instructions and perform calculations related to sales transactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn and utilize Envisioneer™ software are also essential for success in this position.
