The Outside Lumber Sales Representative position is a dynamic role focused on generating and securing sales of building materials with both new and existing customers. The representative will be responsible for promoting the company's products, facilitating customer product selection, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service and communication. In this role, the representative will actively seek out new accounts while also servicing existing ones, providing necessary custom products and information to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include preparing and communicating price quotations, sale terms, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers and contractors. The representative will also estimate materials based on blueprints provided by customers, resolve any customer complaints or issues, and assist in accounts receivable collection. Participation in training sessions is required to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques. This position requires a flexible schedule, including the possibility of working weekends, and involves both indoor and outdoor work environments. The physical demands of the job include occasional lifting of objects up to 100 pounds, as well as regular sitting, standing, and walking.
