About the position

The Outside Parts Sales Manager is responsible for leading the outside sales team to achieve and exceed sales revenue goals. This role involves overseeing daily operations, developing sales strategies, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while managing relationships with key clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the outside sales team to meet or exceed sales revenue goals.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee strategies and plans to achieve business targets.
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager to create marketing campaigns for products and services.
  • Develop new leads and communicate with customers to understand their needs.
  • Ensure a smooth sales process while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Communicate effectively with the outside sales team to identify high-profile leads.
  • Grow and improve the customer base, aiming for a 12% year-over-year sales increase.
  • Direct and coordinate all local and regional sales activities, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Prepare sales budgets and projections, approving expenditures as necessary.
  • Track and analyze sales statistics based on key metrics.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding products or services.
  • Set discount rates and determine pricing schedules.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
  • Set sales quotas and goals for the sales team.
  • Oversee and direct the performance of the sales team.
  • Collaborate with Parts and Service Managers to ensure parts availability for repair projects.
  • Answer potential customer questions and provide additional information as needed.
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to advance the sales process.
  • Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, particularly in parts sales.
  • Strong understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in tracking and analyzing sales statistics.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the sales team.
