About the position

The Outside Parts Sales Regional Manager at Bergey's Inc. is responsible for leading and developing the outside sales force within their designated area. This role focuses on training, coaching, and tracking the performance of sales staff while implementing effective selling strategies to boost sales and gross profits. The manager will also forecast departmental goals, manage budgets, and collaborate with factory representatives to enhance product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Outside Sales force to train, coach, and track individual progress.
• Identify target products and design selling strategies to increase sales and gross profits.
• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Hire, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of the outside sales staff.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the department.
• Attend managers meetings and assist in the development of new corporate product offerings.
• Schedule vendor training and joint sales calls for outside sales and their customers.
• Monitor call reports, assign or re-assign accounts, and follow up on progress.
• Assist the sales team in developing and implementing their business plans.
• Serve as a liaison with factory representatives.
• Maintain a safe work environment and a professional appearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
• 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
