About the position

The Outside Parts Sales Regional Manager at Bergey's Inc. is responsible for leading and developing the outside sales force within their designated area. This role involves training, coaching, and tracking the performance of sales staff, as well as designing and implementing strategies to increase sales and gross profits. The manager will also forecast departmental goals, manage budgets, and serve as a liaison with factory representatives to enhance product offerings and sales strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Outside Sales force to train, coach, and track individual progress.
• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Hire, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of the outside sales staff.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the department.
• Attend managers meetings to discuss strategies and performance.
• Assist in the development and sales of new corporate product offerings, including scheduling vendor training and joint sales calls.
• Monitor call reports, assign or re-assign accounts, and follow up on progress.
• Assist the sales team in developing and implementing their business plans.
• Serve as a liaison with factory representatives.
• Maintain a safe work environment and a professional appearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of background checks and drug testing.
