About the position

Dovell & Williams, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is seeking an Outside Parts Sales Representative to join our team in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who possesses strong customer focus skills and a solid understanding of heavy-duty truck products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our extensive range of products and services to both new and existing customers, ensuring that they receive the highest level of service and support. As an Outside Parts Sales Representative, you will be expected to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, which is crucial for driving sales and achieving business goals. You will regularly review your sales activities and progress with management, identifying new business opportunities and strategizing on how to capture them. Timely completion and submission of daily call reports will be essential to keep track of your interactions and sales progress. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing annual business plans that include customer profiling, product targets, and actionable plans to meet those targets. Collaboration with internal departments will also be a key part of your role, as you will need to address customer needs and manage special orders effectively. Responsibilities

  • Promote our products and services to new and current customers
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and current customers
  • Review sales activities, progress on goals, and new business opportunities with management
  • Timely completion and submission of daily call reports

  • Collaborate with internal departments on any customer needs and special orders

Requirements

  • Strong customer focus skills
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck products and services such as Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Allison, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Isuzu
  • Proven sales experience in a similar role
