About the position

The Outside Parts Salesperson is responsible for maximizing sales volume for assigned accounts, focusing on parts and labor sales opportunities. This role involves overseeing customer operations, advising on inventory selection, and planning territory coverage to effectively engage with key accounts. The salesperson will promote MHC's product and service offerings, manage customer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve maximum sales volume for assigned accounts.
• Oversee operations of assigned customers and assist in inventory selection and control.
• Plan territory coverage and regularly call upon key accounts.
• Take orders and introduce new products and promotions to customers.
• Complete weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made.
• Control personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
• Promote all MHC product and service offerings including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier and Finance.
• Investigate and refer customer complaints to the appropriate Department Manager or Branch Manager.
• Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, and inventory as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• One year of automotive parts related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience dealing with the public in a sales/service capacity.
• Computer skills preferred.
