About the position

The Outside Pro Sales Representative for Central Atlanta is tasked with expanding sales through the new contractor channel, focusing on targeted contractor segments. This role is pivotal in achieving defined sales goals, which serve as a key metric of performance. The representative will be responsible for building long-standing relationships with these contractor segments and enhancing brand awareness and penetration within the contractor channel. A commitment to safety is integral to the company culture and is a condition of employment. In this position, the representative will provide support and energy in cross-functional coordination to ensure a consistent customer experience for the contractor segment. Proactive communication regarding important business issues and opportunities to appropriate departments and management is essential. The role emphasizes team success and accomplishment over individual goals, fostering a collaborative environment. The representative will develop strong business relationships with customers, gaining a solid understanding of their needs. They will manage the contractor segment's development and work closely with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Customer Service, to exceed sales goals. Key account plans will be formulated as needed to execute sales and marketing strategies effectively. Additionally, the representative will track and report channel-specific results to management, establish and maintain quality relationships with customer segments, and take ownership of the CRM processes with customers. Identifying training opportunities and new product opportunities will also be part of the responsibilities, along with providing territory and market information to enhance sales and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve defined sales goals in this channel as a key metric of performance.
  • Build long-standing relationships with targeted contractor segments.

  • Put priorities and efforts on driving team success and accomplishment over individual goals.
  • Develop strong business relationships with customers and provide a solid understanding of their needs.
  • Responsible for the development and management of contractor segment.
  • Work with all appropriate departments (Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Customer Service, etc.) to exceed sales goals.
  • Formulate key account plans as needed to enable the execution of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and manage channel-specific tracking and reporting and communicate ongoing results to management.
  • Establish, cultivate and maintain quality relationships with customer segments.
  • Take accountability and ownership for the CRM processes with customers.
  • Identify training opportunities and communicate to management.
  • Identify new product opportunities.
  • Provide territory and market information to better develop sales and marketing efforts.
  • Provide Service and Product Knowledge to professional channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 plus years of related sales and/or customer service experience and/or training
  • 2 to 3 years of National Account Management experience
  • Experience with negotiating and fulfilling national customer contracts.
