About the position

The Outside Sales Account Executive at Xplor is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with small to medium-sized business owners in the Southeast region. This role involves collaborating with various departments to onboard new clients, managing sales pipelines, and educating merchants about payment processing services. The position emphasizes a proactive approach to sales and requires a strong commitment to customer service and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with small to medium-sized business owners.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Customer Service, Underwriting, IT, Sales Support, and other departments to onboard new business.
  • Manage your pipeline and day-to-day tasks/appointments using Salesforce.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals using Clearent by Xplor's electronic applications.
  • Educate merchants and business owners on the payment processing industry.
  • Maintain regular communication with sales leadership.
  • Close sales of payment processing services to meet expected minimum requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience.
  • Valid current driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Exhibit a hunter mentality, professional demeanor, impeccable integrity, and a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to self-source leads through prospecting, cold-calling, and networking.
  • Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the payment processing industry.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
