About the position

Stauffer Glove & Safety is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Account Manager to join their Western Regional Team, focusing on the Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas territories. This role is essential for driving sales growth, establishing market share, and maintaining strong customer relationships in the safety and PPE distribution industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales strategy to develop regional market share in the assigned territory.
• Meet established sales goals through new customer sales growth and introduction of new products.
• Actively prospect for new customers and establish buying cycles.
• Collaborate with the National Accounts Manager to service existing National Account locations.
• Manage and provide service to all existing and newly established customers in the territory.
• Prepare sales information and support customer needs.
• Coordinate renewal activity for existing customers, including pricing negotiations and service agreements.
• Provide onsite customer support for vending services, including implementation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with customer service and operations to secure and place orders.
• Conduct product training and seminars for customers.

Requirements

• Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent.
• 0-5 years of sales experience in Safety distribution, Industrial distribution, or MRO industries.
• Demonstrated record of success in growing and managing a client base.
• Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience with CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Associate's degree with 5 or more years' experience in safety distribution-related industry.
