About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Fluid Handling, Pumps, and Filtration at SunSource is responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing accounts within the Fluid Process industry. This role involves full-cycle sales activities, including prospecting, lead qualification, and sales presentations, supported by a knowledgeable customer service team. The ideal candidate will possess a competitive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, working closely with management to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop a sales plan in collaboration with the manager to attract new customers and maintain existing accounts.
• Conduct full cycle prospecting activities, including lead qualification, cold calls, and sales presentations.
• Collaborate with customer service and technical support teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Utilize tools, resources, and CRM systems to effectively manage time and territory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical, industrial, and/or business degree or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial sales experience, with at least 1 year in fluid process, fluid handling, or fluid filtration systems.
• Previous experience selling industrial pumps, seals, and repair services is beneficial.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain business relationships.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn CRM software.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the fluid process industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with sales strategies and techniques in industrial sales.
