In this position, you will develop new business through direct sales of fluid process equipment. The company prides itself on having the finest repair capabilities in the Gulf Region, which will be a significant asset in your sales efforts. You will be supported by a highly knowledgeable customer service team and supportive managers who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goals. This role requires a competitive mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit, as you will be responsible for managing sales from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and the surrounding areas. Your success will depend on your ability to establish, build, and maintain strong business relationships with clients in the industrial sector, particularly in chemical plants, refineries, and papermills. The position also involves utilizing your technical knowledge to provide added value in equipment sales, ensuring that you meet the specific needs of your customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through direct sales of fluid process equipment.
  • Manage sales activities from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and surrounding areas.
  • Establish, build, and maintain business relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to meet sales goals.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to provide added value in equipment sales.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-year technical, industrial, and/or engineering degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of industrial sales experience focused on fluid process/fluid handling equipment/rotating equipment.
  • Experience calling into chemical plants, refineries, and papermills preferred.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to learn and effectively use a CRM system.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
