About the position

As an Outside Sales Account Manager for the Government Solutions division, you will manage an established portfolio of Federal, SLED, and Non-Profit customers, focusing on driving Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales while also seeking new business opportunities. This role involves consistent day travel within the Greater Dallas area, with occasional overnight travel, and offers a competitive base salary along with monthly sales incentives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers to expand the customer base.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies.
  • Attend monthly business meetings for company-sponsored associations and engage in local trade shows.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of business-to-business (B2B) field sales experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • Experience with a large volume of product lines.
  • Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) industry.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes.
