About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Government Solutions is responsible for managing an established portfolio of Federal, SLED, and Non-Profit customers, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales while also seeking new business opportunities. This role involves consistent day travel within the Greater Dallas area and offers a competitive base salary along with monthly sales incentives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
• Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers.
• Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
• Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies.
• Attend monthly business meetings, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of business-to-business (B2B) field sales experience.
• Bilingual proficiency.
• Experience with a large volume of product lines.
• Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy.
• Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in government sales or working with government contracts.
• Familiarity with the Greater Dallas area and its market dynamics.
