About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager at Cargo Heavy Duty is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers while also pursuing new business opportunities. This role focuses on promoting sales growth within the heavy-duty truck parts sector, requiring a motivated individual who is comfortable with in-person sales and cold calling. The position offers a competitive salary plus commission and significant growth potential in the greater Kalamazoo and I-69 area.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and developing relationships in the current customer base to promote sales growth.
  • New business development through cold calling new leads to gain new accounts and territory growth.

Requirements

  • Sales experience and/or commercial vehicle knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity and confidence with computers.
  • Professional and polite phone skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to fill out sales orders and sales call reports.
