About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Hospitality Accounts is responsible for managing an established portfolio of accounts within the Greater Charlotte area, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. This role involves consistent day travel to meet with customers, driving profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts and retaining existing ones. The position offers a competitive base salary along with a monthly sales incentive plan, and includes the provision of a laptop, cell phone, and coverage for monthly expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies.
  • Attend monthly business meetings, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field or a Master's degree with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in direct sales to Hospitality customers.
  • 3 or more years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Knowledge in facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.
  • CRM experience, preferably with Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience with developing call plans and proactively developing new business.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and be open to new ideas.
