About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Hospitality is responsible for managing an established portfolio of accounts within the Hospitality (Hotels) division, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. This role involves consistent day travel within the East Village to Upper East Side territory to maintain and drive sales growth, prospect new accounts, and expand opportunities with existing customers. The position offers a competitive base salary along with a monthly sales incentive plan, and includes necessary tools such as a laptop and cell phone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies.
  • Attend monthly business meetings, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Direct sales experience to Hospitality customers.
  • Experience with HD Supply facility customers and industry product line.
  • Strong customer service skills and organizational abilities.
  • Tech-savvy with CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.
  • Ability to develop call plans and proactively develop new business.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and open to new ideas.
