As an Outside Sales Account Manager for the Hospitality division at HD Supply, you will be tasked with managing an established portfolio of accounts, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. This role involves consistent day travel within the territory, which spans from the East Village to the Upper East Side of New York City. You will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing customers, and expanding opportunities with current clients in both core and emerging markets. The position offers a competitive base salary along with a monthly sales incentive plan, and you will be provided with a laptop, cell phone, and coverage for monthly expenses. In this role, you will develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across various organizational levels, ensuring long-term sustainability. You will manage sales volume with existing customers while actively seeking to acquire new clients to diversify the customer base. Additionally, you will be expected to share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels within the organization, fostering collaborative partnerships. Your collaboration with leadership will be crucial in analyzing market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for the development of effective sales strategies and initiatives. The position also requires participation in monthly business meetings for company-sponsored associations, engagement in local trade shows, and representation of the organization in regional or national activities as necessary. The nature of the work requires increasing independence, with guidance provided only on unusual or complex issues. You may also provide general guidance or training to junior-level support or professional personnel. The work environment is primarily comfortable and indoor, with infrequent unpleasant conditions. Most of the time will be spent sitting comfortably, with opportunities to move about, and there may be occasional light lifting. Overnight travel is expected to be less than 10% of the time.
