About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Hospitality is responsible for managing an established portfolio of accounts within the Hospitality division, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. This role involves consistent day travel within the designated territory, which spans from LAX south to Long Beach, and includes a competitive base salary along with a monthly sales incentive plan. The position requires strong customer relationship management and the ability to drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts and retaining existing ones.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers to expand and diversify the customer base.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Attend monthly business meetings for company-sponsored associations, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities as necessary.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Direct sales experience to Hospitality customers.
  • Experience with HD Supply facility customers and industry product line.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy.
  • CRM experience, preferably with Salesforce or similar tools.
  • Knowledge in facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.
  • Ability to develop call plans and proactively develop new business.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and open to new ideas.
