About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for the Hospitality division is responsible for managing an established portfolio of accounts, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. This role involves consistent day travel within the designated territory, which includes Monterey, Salinas, Moss Landing, Santa Cruz, and surrounding areas. The position aims to drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing customers, and expanding opportunities to meet yearly sales goals. The role requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to analyze market trends to develop effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for sales strategies.
  • Attend monthly business meetings, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Direct sales experience to Hospitality customers.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.
  • Ability to develop call plans and proactively develop new business.
  • Organizational skills and tech-savvy, with CRM experience (Salesforce or other).
  • Knowledge in facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Ability to learn new techniques and be open to new ideas.
