About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager for Hospitality is responsible for managing an established portfolio of accounts within the hospitality sector, focusing on Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. This role involves consistent day travel within the designated territory, which includes Monterey, Salinas, Moss Landing, Santa Cruz, and surrounding areas. The position offers a competitive base salary along with monthly sales incentives, and includes the provision of a laptop, cell phone, and coverage for monthly expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Attend monthly business meetings, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field or a Master's degree with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience in direct sales to hospitality customers and B2B sales.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines.
  • Strong organizational skills and tech-savvy capabilities.
  • Ability to develop call plans and proactively develop new business.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 or more years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling.
  • Passion for customer service.
